Find your tyre size
Your tyre size can be found on the side of your current tyre and is a sequence of numbers and letters. There are many variations of tyre sizes so you should check your existing tyre or your vehicle handbook to ensure that the correct size is fitted. On your tyre, you will see a sequence such as 205/55 R16 91W. 205 is the width of your tyre is in millimetres. The 55 indicates the ratio or profile of your tyres. The letter R lets you know what type of tyre it is – in this case, the R stands for radial. The number 16 is the diameter of the wheel rim in inches.
The next number, 91, is the load index of the tyre, letting you know the maximum weight the tyres can safely hold up. The last letter, W, indicates the maximum speed rating for the tyres. The ratings go from A to Y and go up in increments, with W having a maximum speed of 168.
If you are unsure about the tyre sizes for your vehicle, our team will be happy to help.
